The Barrio Fútbol Project is a community-powered initiative exploring the intersection of community, identity, and sport through the lens of East Austin’s Barrio Fútbol Club.
Rooted in art and sport, the project brings together artists, fans, players, and neighbors to celebrate a space and movement that champions cultural expression.
Structured around three interwoven components—documentary, exhibition, and activation—the project seeks to both preserve a moment while inviting the greater community into the movement.

“The idea for this project began with presence; showing up, observing, and recognizing something quietly beautiful taking place. Through presence, we discovered a beautiful third space shaped by people, culture, and shared experience. ”
Sponsorship support is applied directly toward the project’s cultural programming, helping fund artist participation, exhibition production, documentation, public activation, and the shared infrastructure needed to bring the project to life.
